Martin Solveig’s ‘Hey Now’ Remixes

Mr. Headband himself, Martin Solveig, recently teamed up with The Cataracs to release Hey Now, an infectious and upbeat summer jam. The lyrics are simple and catchy, and the beat perfect for the summer sun. Catchy as it was, however, it definitely could have used a little extra “oomph”, and it looks like the rest of the EDM world agreed with me. Three eye-popping remixes, courtesy of some serious big name talent, are now available for your listening pleasure.

Norwegian nu disco gods (is it too early to call them that?) Lemâitre do what they do best and transform Hey Now into an almost unrecognizable piece of disco/funk. If you weren’t a believer of theirs before, this should help. Featuring glitched out nu disco sounds, funky synths, and memorable guitar and piano play, groovy is the perfect word to describe this remix. Next up is a remix by Carnage, and it’s not what you’d expect. Renowned for his festival-style trap anthems, this time around Carnage switches things up with a really clean and polished house anthem. It’s got everything you need to drop to the floor and go crazy. Rounding out the list is the Filipino-Dutch megastar Laidback Luke. In typical LL fashion, this remix goes hard and should definitely please fans of the mainstage. You can grab the Carnage and Laidback Luke remixes now on Beatport.
